The platform of the meeting will be Clickmeeting, a powerful video conferencing tool intended for huge virtual events. This platform will ensure a stable connection for an effective and reliable streaming event. Chairpersons, invited and regular speakers will receive a short training on the use of Clickmeeting about a week before the meeting – notified by e-mail and in line with individual requirements.

Speech

Authors who will be assigned an oral presentation are awarded a 15-minutes slot (questions included) for their speech at the conference. Please, download and use this template for presentations.
Please, save your presentation as a PDF file under the name of the code of your abstract contribution followed by the name of the speaker (e.g., ID-166_Smith). Be aware that your presentation PDF file must be sent by email or WeTransfer to the MedPalynoS Secretariat (medpalynos2021@unimore.it) with deadline 1st September at midnight (CET UTC+1).

A short synchronous discussion will be scheduled to answer questions about the presentations: participants will be able to ask (written) questions to the chairperson via the chat option during the live session. The chairperson will decide which questions to make public, read it out to the audience and address it to the speaker.

Posters (Video session)

Poster session(s) will consist of pre-recorded presentations displayed in the dedicated virtual room at the conference.

Participants should prepare a short video of up to a length of 4 minutes (.mp4 files in landscape format; recommended video features: bitrate range between 3.000-6.000 Kbps; recommended resolution 1080p, minimum 720p) no later than 31th July.

The video contributions must be sent to the email address medpalynos2021@unimore.it through the WeTransfer platform for the large file transfer. The platform does not require registration to send files. The 4-minute video should include a PowerPoint presentation, with slides presenting the research as written text or recorded comments. This format allows for poster session with video registrations submitted in advance and then managed during the session by the technical direction.

Language

English will be the official language for talks and video presentations.
